Citrix Workspace and Troubleshooting
Note: if off campus, enable the NYU VPN service prior to loading Citrix.
Download & Installation
- Download Citirx Workspace
- Install Citrix Workspace and set up using the following parameters:
Server or email address: https://apps.nyu.edu
User Name: ad.nyu.edu\net ID
Password: user supplied (NYU Home Password)
Domain: ad.nyu.edu
Note: sometimes the Citrix software does not install correctly, ie, installed as Standard user to a local "temp" or "User" directory. Fully remove it and then run the install as admin.
Troubleshooting Citrix & RPM
- If the user can log into the Citrix server (apps.nyu.edu), then the user has Citrix access and Citrix is working.
- If the RPM3 application (Filemaker Icon usually Purple and White Folder) does not show up once logged in by clicking the + icon, then the user's NetID needs to be granted access to the RPM3 Filemaker application via the Citrix Server.
Note: Having access to the RPM3 Filemaker Application is different from having access to the RPM3 Database. The Citrix Server uses ad\NetID authentication and the NetID must be granted access to the Citrix Server and the RPM3 Application via the NYU IT Team (contacts are below). - If the user can click the RPM3 icon to load the RPM3 Filemaker database but they cannot log into the RPM3 database, they need to be granted access on the RPM3 Filemaker database. I believe the Username pattern is Firstname Lastname (or something like that). Blair maintains the users in the RPM3 database.
