Connect to VPN at Windows Login

- Plug your computer into a power source.
- Power on the device.
- To authenticate, first press CTRL+ALT+DEL
- Connect to your home WiFi connection once the computer is booted, you will see an Internet icon in the lower right corner.

- Clicking on this Internet icon should bring up a list of available WiFi networks. Choose your home network and connect as you would normally on any device.
- Now we can connect to the VPN by clicking on the Network sign-in icon.
- For Windows 10, it will appear as two two monitors.

- For Windows 11, it will appear as a padlock with a key.

- This should start the VPN connection, you'll first see a connecting screen.

- Next it should prompt you to connect to the NYU VPN - First Time Logon VPN tunnel.
If prompted for a VPN address,

enter vpnsec.nyu.edu at the prompt and press connect:

- Enter your normal NYU NetID at the Username field, your NYU password at the Password field and the word push at the second password field. In order for the PUSH to work, you must have DUO correctly configured on your smart phone.

- After login prompt you will be asked to sign in using DUO.
- You'll receive a pop up to indicate you're on a VPN connection. Click Accept

- Once you click accept you should be able to log into your device as normal.
- Now you can use your netid and password to login.
