New York University (NYU) uses Palo Alto Networks (PAN) as a firewall provider, but does not manage how that service classifies websites. The service may misclassify a legitimate uniform resource locator (URL) associated with NYU, which may block access to the site on campus, e.g.:

If you believe that a URL is not categorized correctly, you can request that PAN categorize it differently by submitting a request here: https://urlfiltering.paloaltonetworks.com/

To do so:

- enter the URL of the site in the search bar and hit "Enter"

- select the appropriate category (e.g. Educational Institutions) for reclassifying the URL

- provide a justification, and an email address where you can be reached, when submitting the request.

The turnaround time for review from PAN is ~24 hours.
