NYU Offers 3 different platforms to create web pages.

NYU Hosting - Traditional CPanel  Hosting

Traditional cPanel web hosting is available to NYU faculty, staff, and students. The service is provided by a company called Reclaim Hosting and their cPanel offers the creation of websites via HTML, PHP, SFTP, Wordpress, Omeka, Drupal, Scalar, Grav, etc ... Note: Some members of our team are only familiar with HTML, PHP, SFTP, and WordPress.

The Reclaim cPanel allows for only a single owner, but other sub accounts can be created to upload/edit HTML/PHP pages via SFTP, or if the WordPress app is installed, other NetIDs can be added to manage the pages. Only one account owner has access to the backend cPanel control panel though, so keep this in mind. Make sure the lab manager passes ownership to the PI once the site is up and running. We can discuss this further in a PSYCH/CNS IT consultation. The system is fairly easy to use with a little bit of a learning curve..

NYU Web Publishing (WordPress)

Wordpress is the number one platform on building websites on the public Internet. The NYU WordPress system allows page owners to add other users as editors/admins so that they can contribute to maintaining the page(s). The system is fairly easy to use with a little bit of a learning curve.

NYU Sites (Google)

NYU Offers the easy to use simple website creation via Google Sites platform. Note, the domains are not pretty, but it offers drag and drop functionality people appreciate of Google's Gmail and other such services. NYU Sites allows multiple page editors to be added via NetID.
