- Navigate in Chrome web browser to: Stream.nyu.edu
- Click the + ADD NEW button at the top right and select Kaltura Capture.
- If the app has not already been installed, your computer will prompt you to install it.
- Once installed, upon clicking the Kaltura Capture link you may be prompted by the browser to allow the browser to "Open Kaltura Capture?" Click Open Kalture Capture to approve.
- You may choose to confirm the camera, screen, and audio settings. If they are selected to your preference, click the big red button to begin recording.
- When the recording commences a status window will be overlayed on the screen.
- When your presentation is complete, click the stop icon.
- When the recording is complete fill out the desired meta-data fields for Title, Description and Tags as desired and click Save. If you do not want to upload the captured video files, you may find the raw files in these directories:
On Windows = C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Kaltura\Capture\
On macOS = /Users/<username>/Library/Preferences/Kaltura/Capture/
Note: there will be 2 more more MP4 video files created and they may need to be pieced together using video editing software. Also the screen capture and the camera capture will be stored as separate files. Otherwise, upload them and you can download the from Stream.
Click Save & Upload in order to upload it to your NYU Stream Account. - The upload status will be indicated to the right.
- Once the APP finishes uploading you may change your sharing/publication settings at stream.nyu.edu
