Sign-Up for NYU Box file-storage service
- NYU BOX is automatically available to faculty and full-time staff.
- Navigate to http://www.nyu.edu/it/box
- Once an account has been created you can access Box in two ways
- The first way to access Box is via the web at http://nyu.box.com
- Secondly, you may install the Box Sync Software on Apple OSX, Windows, iOS and Android

NYU Box Basics via Box Sync on Your Computer
Save all your critical files into the Box Sync folder. They will automatically be synchronized with NYU's Box storage in the cloud.
Note: As illustrated below, you may selectively sync/unsync folders and subfolders from Box Sync by changing the settings at http://nyu.box.com. This means that your files will be securely stored on the web, but removed from the Box Sync folder of your computer. This may be helpful for storing files more securely or archiving files you may not need on your hard drive.
Click the 3 dot button to the right of each file or folder and select Sync to computer or Unsync as desired.

Log into the web interface by navigate to http://nyu.box.com
How to Create Folders via the Web
- Click the + New button and select folder.
- Enter the Folder Name and set your collaboration settings as desired.
- Click Okay
Upload Files and Folders via the Web
- Click the Upload button and click the Files or Folders menu button as needed.
- Navigate to the desired file or folder on your computer and click Open.
The file or folder will be uploaded to the folder you are presently in as indicated by the breadcrumb list at the top of the page:
